“ We visited after we went to a Penn Srate game and were on our way to visit friends at Raystown Lake. Bluegills Is an absolutely great choice whether you’re looking for full course meals or just appetizers. Since we ate lunch rather late we decided to go with appetizers. My wife got the grilled scallops and I had the drunken mudroom appetizer, a concoction of mushrooms and sauce served over a sliced baguette. We also shared an order of mozzarella sticks which were fabulous. The presentation was excellent, the food was hot and very tasty! She also had the orange creamsicle cocktail and said it was one of the best she ever had. Can’t wait to go back next summer, have some lunch and then throw a tube in the river and float around for a few hours! ”

“ Traveling up from Harrisburg, we were in the area visiting family. I found this place on Yelp, saw the high rating, and we decided to try it. I loved this place! There's a large lot, so parking is easy. We were greeted promptly and warmly by the hostess. The interior is clean and bright with an appropriate seashore vibe. Our waiter was prompt and very friendly. He even used, "Excuse my reach," if he had to go across the table to deliver a meal or pick up plates. It's not necessary, I guess, but I really appreciated that and immediately pegged him as professional and great at his job, which he was. I wish I could remember his name to give a personal shout-out. Everything we had was delicious! Being from Louisiana, my cousin let me try the shrimp on her poboy since I'm an "expert." Theu were SO good - fresh and plump, not dry at all. My aunt had a reuben, which she really enjoyed. I had a club which was ginormous and delicious! The meat, in particular, was so flavorful, which can be a problem with cold cuts sometimes. Not here! The fries were some of the best I've had. They're hand cut, which is something I really like, and they were perfectly seasoned. We all agreed we would definitely return when we are back in the area. Total thumbs up for us! ”

Definitely worth a visit and I would like to go back again, when I can afford it, kind of pricey but seems like good fresh ingredients and fresh prepared everything so I understand that costs more and feel it's worth it. The only thing I didn't like was that trivia was starting near the end of our meal and it was way too loud, we weren't even in the same room and that room was tiny so they definitely didn't need to blast the volume or even use a microphone at all imo. ”
